Dermal Filler.
Dermal fillers can be used to restore & re-volumise skin & facial contours to form a more youthful appearance. We use them to smooth lines and wrinkles, to sculpt, define and lift key facial structures, to help restore a fuller and more youthful complexion.
Here at Dental Art we believe in the holistic approach, Dr Cassandra will carry out a full facial assessment and discuss your areas of concern, the underlying cause of this and the best treatments suited to you to achieve your desired results.
As dermal fillers have progressed we are now able to treat more and more of our patients concerns, and issues that were once thought only possible to be treated by conventional plastic surgery and going under the knife.
So as well as the more commonly known procedures such a lip filler, we can now straighten noses, treat under eye bags, reshape and remould cheeks, nose to mouth lines, restructure jawlines and correct sagging jowls. We can even feminise your face by lifting and defining your features, or masculinise your face by giving you a stronger jawline. We can even correct and balance your profile and nose. And for our older clients we can carry out a full non-surgical face lift, where we correct all the volume lost within the face and smooth your wrinkles for a more youthful glow. The possibilities are truly endless.

Dermal fillers are a gel like substance that is placed beneath the skin. They contain hyaluronic acid, which is a synthetic form of what is found naturally in your own skin.
All hyaluronic acid fillers resorb over time, as your body naturally breaks them down, and if necessary, can be dissolved to correct previous undesireable treatments.
They also contain a local anaesthetic that numbs the area to help your comfort during the treatment. Topical numbing creams or numbing injections can also be used where needed.
-
They typically last between 6-18 months, depending on the area treated, the type and thickness of the filler used, the depth injected and your natural metabolism.
-
Unlike botulinum toxins, hyaluronic acid-based fillers are reversible with the enzyme called Hyalase.
This allows us to manage any complications that arise during treatment and allows us to reverse any previous undesirable treatment results.
-
So what’s great about all the treatments we have discussed today is the recovery time after these procedures is extremely short, and inmost patients recovery ranges from around 1-14 days.
The side effects we most commonly see are some bruising and swelling at the injection sites…these can often be treated quickly and well with arnica creams and ice packs.
WHERE CAN I GET DERMAL FILLERS?
-
Lip fillers are a great option for anybody looking to add shape and volume to their lips. Not only do they add volume but they also add elasticity and boost hydration in your lips, creating your perfect pout.
-
Dermal fillers can be used to lift your cheekbones, smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, and add some extra volume to your face, giving the illusion of a more defined bone structure.
Cheek filler is also used to help restore lost volume in the mid-face, and help reduce the look of nasolabial lines and tear troughs.
-
Nasolabial folds are the lines which run from the side of your nose to your mouth.
As we age, these lines become more prominent and sunken in, but thankfully with the careful injection of filler we can soften and plump these lines to give a more rejuvenated and youthful glow.
-
Marionette lines are vertical lines that run from the corner of your mouth to the chin and jowl area.
These lines tend to appear with advancing age and we can use filler to plump and soften the area for a rejuvenated result. Treatment of this area can also improve the look of the chin and jowl area.
-
A non-surgical nose job procedure using hyaluronic acid filler injections can treat a number of misshapen nose concerns as follows:
Straighten a slightly crooked nose
Straighten a hooked nose
Accentuate your nose tip
Correct a nose bump
Correct asymmetric noses
Build up a small nose and/or give more height and definition
Straighten out a mild to moderate nasal tip droop
Refine a nose after a surgical rhinoplasty operation

Our safe and effective treatments will smooth out your eye shadows by restoring lost volume and reducing the appearance of dark circles.
They will also reduce fine lines and wrinkles by boosting collagen production deep within your skin. Dark circles and bags under the eyes will be diminished to give you a youthful, refreshed and confident look.
-
Fillers can be strategically placed in the jawline and chin area to achieve a more chiselled or angular face structure, or a smoothly contoured jawline.
We can enhance the shape of your face, while helping to make your face look slimmer and more youthful.
Jawline fillers can also correct signs of ageing by underpinning and lifting loose and sagging skin around the neck and chin, while minimising the appearance of the jowls.
-
As we age, fine lines and wrinkles appear around the mouth area, and dermal fillers can be used to smooth this area, giving you the confidence to show off your smile for years to come.
