Custom-fitted mouthguards cost a little more, but they provide the best fit and protection for your mouth and teeth. A custom mouthguard will be made specifically for your needs, for protection from trauma during athletic training or competition.

We recommend that you avoid using store-bought boil-and-bite mouthguards, as they can result in a cumbersome fit, and the inferior materials could cause additional bite or protection problems.

Mouth guards work by moving the lips and soft tissues away from the teeth, preventing wounding of the lips and cheeks.

They can shield and protect the teeth from a direct blow and can significantly reduce any force from the lower jaw colliding into the upper jaw, causing less stress on the teeth, jaw and neck.
